Ephesians 1:22 says that Christ rules all things. Christ is the head that governs the whole world, but especially the head of the church.

God’s providence according to paganism and Childs

The Lord has a special influence through his union with the Church. He is “the Savior of all men, especially those who believe,” and the church is specially protected and governed by the Lord. The Lord rules the world for the benefit of the church, just as the head is for the happiness of the body.

Unbelievers generally deny the providence of God. It is natural for those who deny the existence of God.

If you prove providence, God’s existence is naturally proven. Aristotle, the king of pagan philosophers, thoroughly explored through reason but did not know the origin of the world. So he concluded that the world came from eternity.

Epicureanism admitted to God’s existence in some ways, but denied providence. They argued that God is indifferent to the world, citing that a being like God could not break an extremely blessed and peaceful state of peace as a chore to rule the world.

Their argument does not hold water with reason. Nevertheless, they are not ashamed of such an absurd idea. John Flavel replaces the reason with words left by Cicero.

“If providence exists, we must fear day and night and serve the eternal master, if there is a god who observes everything, pays attention to everything, plans everything and likes to get in the way of the world?”

They knew that acknowledging providence would put an eternal yoke on their necks. In that case they must be judged before the god for everything they have done.

In other words, if you think that all your thoughts, words and actions should be recorded and judged before a righteous and almighty God, you have no choice but to spend a while in the world in fear.

Therefore, they try to deny that such a god does not exist. But such foolish, atheistic ideas lose their place in front of clear evidence that prove the great and sure truth “of providence,” says John Flavel.

The goal of today’s video is to instill confidence in those who recognize the providence of God but turn God’s special providence for Christians into natural events or coincidences, without learning the truth through experience.

Such people confess that they recognize the providence of God and God, but in reality, they act as if there is no God or providence at all. Unfortunately, there are so many people like this today.

It is the belief of the general public that work related to Christians does not follow the providence of God but follows the natural law of causality.

People think that every event we observe either comes from chance or from the hidden laws of nature.

Among the grace and salvation experienced by God’s people are many cases in which things that go against the power and laws of nature, that is, natural laws, have been temporarily suspended or stopped. What is the reason?

God’s children and the church protected in God’s providence

As you can often see, the reason is that God’s sudden intervention took place at a time of danger or crisis.

In many cases, the intention of the most fierce and cruel villain was frustrated by the invisible touch of God, and the people of the Lord were not harmed.

How will it be explained that the means and efforts employed to originally harm God’s people bring about results that benefit them? In such a case, the results are completely different from the expectations and intentions of the enemies.

God’s special providence brings salvation and blessing to the saints by combining and linking natural factors with each other. Isn’t it amazing and mysterious?

There is no other way to explain if all the situations are so accurate that they result in the benefits of the chosen people except for the providence of God.

Every time a mission to benefit the church is carried out in the world, similar situations begin to develop simultaneously in many parts of the world.

The structure of the human body, the shape and location of each part of the body and veins, is more than enough to confirm that everything is made up of God’s wisdom and power.

If you look closely at the process of helping God’s people, God’s extremely excellent hands produce amazing results as if to create a beautiful shape by using various sizes and kinds of tools of providence.

In many cases, people’s tendencies and situations are in proper harmony, bringing blessings that they never imagined for the church.

Even though they have never gathered together, exchanged advice, or made promises in advance, everything works in harmony with each other to be beneficial.

Such a thing can never happen if all circumstances are governed by natural laws.

Judging by natural laws alone, there is no other way to conclude that the more powerful and the more appropriate the means, the greater success and victory can be achieved, and that none of the weak, helpless and trivial means can be achieved.

Reason judges by natural laws, but God’s providence governs events unlike common sense.

Any race could be destroyed at once with half of the power that persecuted the church and part of that time. The reason why the church gained amazing salvation was because of God’s promise.

I am with you and will save you,’ declares the Lord. ‘Though I completely destroy all the nations among which I scatter you, I will not completely destroy you. I will discipline you but only in due measure; I will not let you go entirely unpunished.’

Jeremiah 30:11

no weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and this is their vindication from me,” declares the Lord.

Isaiah 54:17
